Our ambulatory caseload is varied and includes both English and Western Sport Horses, as well as much-loved pleasure horses. As official veterinarians at the Tryon International Equestrian Center, we cover a diverse number of disciplines. Ample mentorship is available from experienced ambulatory clinicians in a team approach to clients and horses.  Our associates also benefit from a close relationship with our surgery and internal medicine hospital team, as well as advanced imaging. We understand the challenges of equine practice and are committed to creating a practice environment where everyone can thrive and succeed. On-call duties are shared between 4 doctors and interns.

The ideal Ambulatory Associate candidate will have experience in sport horse practice and have licensure and accreditation to practice in North Carolina and South Carolina. The position is open to foreign applicants who have completed the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) certification program. A Hospital and Team Providing Support & Mentorship

At Tryon Equine Hospital, our practice philosophy is to provide extraordinary patient care and client experience in a team approach. The Ambulatory Associate will complement a team of nine veterinarians, including four board-certified surgeons, one board-certified internal medicine clinician, experienced ambulatory associates, and four interns. Patient care is further supported by a team of 15 technicians and five administrative staff. We are committed to the latest technology and advanced patient care. Our 17,000 square-foot facility is a regional referral center, serving several surrounding states and our rapidly growing local performance horse population. We are affiliated with a next-door rehabilitation facility featuring a Hydro Horse in-ground aquatred. Three equestrian show facilities are located within 15 minutes of the hospital, including Tryon International Equestrian Center.
